The last Sub-Straightdrivers Captain’s day was a huge success. Despite furious
bitching(Seamus) about carts everyone seemed to get a wagon. Visitors on the days
where many ex colleagues and some even made it from far off PADDY fields. Five four
balls took the stage and we were honoured to have a professional photographer on
the day (Mr S Mc Closkey) big thanks to him for the images and for his shot gun
partner (Glass) Maghera card shark) for not crashing the cart as the drink driving
kicked in. The bomber unfortunately could not make it and it was all or nothing
for Hamilton, ended up nothing. Me Daa kept the clubs in the bag and was narrowly
beaten by Canning for over all third on the day(Whiskey to me lips _NOT) Many thanks
to all who attended especially the evening guests who made the crack 90. Guest on
the night was the Irish 45 champion, who flew in especially for the occasion. Fintan
was sure that he could retain the title for most golf however after a re count the
title went to Nigel Curry( this is under a stewarts enquiry) Winner on the day was
the Bandit Stewart who retained his title, on the visitors side this was won by his
partner in crime Mr Jim Craig. As the day progressed it was evident that drink was
soon to tell the tale and alas the first to fall was McAfee, this was before his
rally on the 18th. It is hoped that we can have an annual event so please check
